James J. Jowdy
Attorney James J. Jowdy founded Jowdy & Jowdy in 1976. He received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1973, and received his Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School in 1976. Mr. Jowdy is admitted in Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.

John Jowdy
Attorney John Jowdy joined forces with James Jowdy in 1979, at which point the law offices of Jowdy & Jowdy were born. Mr. Jowdy is admitted in Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.
The focus of Mr. Jowdy's practice is civil litigation. Mr. Jowdy also handles cases involving wills & estates, elder law, Workers' Compensation, Social Security, landlord & tenant, collection work, contract disputes, family law, and personal injury.
Mr. Jowdy was appointed by the State of Connecticut Judicial Department as an Attorney Trial Referee and Attorney Fact Finder. He has served in this capacity in the Judicial District of Danbury for over 10 years.
Mr. Jowdy is a native and resident of Danbury. He, too, is an avid sports fan, and enjoys watching college basketball and professional baseball. In his free time he likes to play golf. He is also a high school basketball referee.
Jeffrey Jowdy
Attorney Jeffrey Jowdy joined the legal team at Jowdy & Jowdy in 1994.
Mr. Jowdy earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1990, and received his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 1994. He is admitted in Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Court of Connecticut. He is also admitted in the State courts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
With an emphasis on criminal defense, Mr. Jowdy has defended clients in both Connecticut and New York against a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges, some of which include DWI, drug possession, sexual offenses, domestic violence, assault, and more.
Mr. Jowdy is a native of Danbury. Like James and John, Jeff is an avid sports fan. He loves the New York Yankees, watching college basketball, and playing softball, basketball, and golf.
Laurie Gallo
Attorney Laurie Gallo joined Jowdy & Jowdy in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gallo practiced personal injury law with a firm in Putnam County, New York. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Gallo worked in the claims department of a major insurance company for many years.
Ms. Gallo earned her undergraduate degree from Iona College in 1986, and she received her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 1998. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.
The emphasis of Ms. Gallo's practice is civil litigation, including matrimonial and custody issues and personal injury.
Ms. Gallo sits on the Board of Directors on the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She is also an avid reader and billiards player.
